Hi Leo, in many ways - the sooner more of us speak and read Chinese Mandarin the better! The little I know (can only speak some) I know enough to appreciate how beautiful the language is, and how much language is everything about us, and how much people must lose of themselves having to speak and read another language. Apart from that, Mandarin is such a practical language to know. I visited Uruguay once.. couldn't speak Spanish.. but didn't have to go far to find a Chinese family who could tell me all about the place.
I hope WE will support Chinese soon Leo, and we can take advantage of your energy to make it truly global and inclusive. Having Chinese versions of some of our educational resources would greatly assist us and our Chinese students here. I'm sorry that you have felt a bit outside the core group, it is deeply regrettable, but I can see why that would be. The sooner we can speak Chinese the better.
