In jurisdictions where preferrential voting occurs, how are votes entered
into computers in various jurisdictions?
The reason I'm asking is because the Province where I live is considering
this, and I wonder about the logistics of vote entering. Preferential
voting means one votes for folk in order of preference (eg. 1, 2, 3, ...).
I know that somewhat similar systems appear in Ireland, some states of the
USA, and parts of Australia.
I'd like to know more about entering votes into computers before making my
decision.
