A card reader/writer can be obtained for less that $100. All it takes is the time involved, to swipe the card, and the same again to produce a clone !!
When we use to go out to eat a lot I'd give the waitresses a hard time by saying "oh, you mean they took it" just to watch their faces but this one gal recognized a SA when she saw one & without missing a beat she replied, "only 3 or 4 times". Because I knew she was fibbing & gave her a great tip just because she had a sense of humor but this is indeed what some waiters & waitresses do, swipe the card in a pocket reader then sell the info.
