No, I did it under Properties for the Mouse via the Control Panel.
Couldn't really find it in the Device Manager for some reason as it has mice
in there but neither of the ones it mentions sounds like a touch pad to me.
I have already downloaded the latest device driver, but it did me no good.

Where is it disabled? In the Device Manager? Or someplace else?
Is the touch pad software installed? I seem to recall some
touch pads were turned off via the software, which had various
on/off options for the touch pad or touch pad/external mouse
combination.
