From: "Jim Dykes"
When I hit Start/Turn Off Computer, I've noticed it taking a few
seconds to open the next box. clipped
What might attribute to this?
impatience?
Seriously, some things can have trouble "un-loading"
on system shut-down...
If it is not a serious "time" problem, and does NOT freeze
or halt the system, I would not spend a lot of time or loose
a lot of sleep over it... Some new patch or new driver update
will likely take care of it, eventually...
If it is "more" than a few seconds, you might want to ignore
the above and see below... <grin>
If you want to try some "tweaks" there are settings to force
things closed after a certain time if they are not doing it themselves.
Disclaimer: Forcing things closed can (or might) lead to data loss of some
type...
MS has a small utility you can run to "un-load" & log CERTAIN
types of this problem.
Note it sends you to the Event Viewer to look for the errors it
can help with...
Link works (today) and needs to be "all on one line" if copied and pasted.

If you try it, you are on your own... <grin>
