I believe the only way to recapture memory using Win 98 is to do a restart.
Another way one can do this is to set their swap space low and do a refrag
and then reset it to whatever it was before, one does this on the off chance
that their swap space has been split up.

This may be way far out, but I seem to remember in 98 or 95 that one could
recapture lost memory by opening and closing control panel. Just a WAG.
