Without going through old paperwork, as far as I can remember, it was
late 1982 when I got my first AT. No screen, no mouse, and no hard
drive. 64Kb onboard with a socket to take a 30 pin dimm of 512Kb.

I used to save the programs out to a tape cassette machine.... What a
pain that was. Then I bought my first hard disk drive. A Sugart 504.
5Mb as I recall. In those days you were posh ! if you had a black &
white monitor screen. Most of them were Amber on black, or Green on
black. Much easier on the eyes.

I will have to dig it out and have a wander down memory lane. Its not
been used in a while, the battery is probably flat and it will have
forgotten its settings. The last time I used it, it was for swapping
data from 5.25" floppy to 3.5" floppys.

Before you say Aah, it never had a 3.5" floppy.... It origanally came
with a full hight 5.25" single sided drive, which I still have. Though
I don't know why I bothered to keep it !!!! The same goes for the HDD.
