On a related note, I tried to back up my E partition (NTFS XP Pro SP1) to
DVD the other night, and it refused to copy several files (which were in use
by other programs - probably Nero). What I want to do is make a decent copy
of E, so that after I install SP2 on the E partition, I can have a backup in
case the install doesn't work right.[if it matters, C partition has Win98SE,
and D partition has another OS.]

On Partition F (Fat 32) there is 6.71 GB free and the rest data. Partition
E has 6.56 GB used. My question is, can I use the Xcopy E: F:\E_stuff
/r/i/c/h/k/e/y to make a copy of E. Then, probably I could burn the DVD
from the copy on F., install SP2 to E, and if all goes well delete
F:\E_stuff. I think this should work, but am wondering if there is enough
free space, and if I can copy from an NTFS partition to a Fat32 partition
with Xcopy.
