Hi Folks
Just built a new machine to replace the old AMD 1700+ that my wife uses and got
hold of a Gigabyte
MOBO K8NS - pro with an AMD 64 3400 CPU.
Initially installed on old 30GB PATA Hdd to test everything out and all was Ok.
I then decided to get a 160Mb SATA Hdd and connected that up - removing the
30Gb PATA - so the only
Hdd was the SATA - as come from Maxtor unformatted.
Booted from XP pro CD and it loaded Ok then it came to the - hey! Hdd not
formatted do you want to
------create partition Yes 4 so that I did.
Now I presume that I have 4 partitions on the 160Gb SATA Hdd.??????????
Then it asked did I want to install windows XP - of course I did - (what a
stupid question) then it
told me it was "Examining 152626 MB DISK 0 at ID 0 on bus 0 on ATAPI....."
How long should it be examining this bloody Hdd?
