I agree with you ! > There are pictures of OEM Intel coolers on Ebay. Not very good > pictures but take a look at items 220008029841 and 190008137332. It's not a standard 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 92, or 120mm fan. > > Carl Both these items are manufactured as a single molding and are fastened to the heatsink by it. The first looks like a Dynatron part ! The second one I don't recognise at all ! In the case of the first one the fan is easy to replace ! Simply discard the whole fan and fit a standard Dynatron 65mm x 10mm 3 wire fan and use screws to secure it. Without having a sample of the second one to examine, I would guess that it (the heatsink) is secured to the mainboard by the four lugs and press pins. While the fan looks to be clipped / fastened to the heatsink in a similar way to the first. In which case it should be feasible to replace the fan in a similar way ! Cooler Guys as far as I am aware sell Dynatron products ! FWIW the AMD supplied Heatsink Fan assemblies are made by Dynatron ! > -----Original Message----- > From: Windows Home/SOHO [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Gaffer > Sent: Wednesday, July 19, 2006 3:08 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: Dell Dimension CPU Fan Replacement > > Hi Carl, > > On Wednesday 19 July 2006 05:46, Carl Houseman Inscribed Thus: > > I can get any fan? I've replace dozens of them. Ask "Cooler > Guys" !
