stays on as long as the computer is on, before during and after an AVG update

AV programs need to update their engine (core code) occasionally, which requires them to shut down for 30 seconds or so. Gary VanderMolen ----- Original Message ----- XP-SP2 Security Center has peacefully coexisted with AVG-free for a number of months w/o incident. I still consider rooting out all Norton products one the great pieces of advice I've gotten here. In the last day or two the SC lights up and tells it can find an AV it recognizes, even as AVG-free keeps happily chugging along. I suspect this is nothing more than an annoyance but always get a little antsy when an anomaly related to security turns up. -- ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is your picture included in the Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page? http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html If not, write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is your picture included in the Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page? http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html If not, write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
