they are going to do the self installation for $9.99 (might be a
mistake, but i hope i can talk her through it on the phone if she has
trouble) - and with the internet special, it's 19.99 for 3 mo and then
42 - so compared to the 35.00 verizon said for dry/naked dsl (not
confirmed that the csr told them correctly), it's only $20 or so more
over the course of the year... as long as they don't need to pay $49
per additional computer. They like the idea of one less bill to pay...
and the speed is much higher.
I guess i will buy them a router rather than renting one... especially
since my daughter has a laptop.

Yes. You can also get a modem/router from them. Their website
says $57.95 w/o TV and $42.95 with.
$99.99 installation for one computer and $149.99 for 2-5 wirelessly.
