I'm not sure I'd spend too much time worrying about which brand, I'd
base it on total expense.
I just upgraded my WiFi Router to a NetGear MIMO as my old Motorola
router couldn't maintain a solid connection to my new laptop
(understatement of the year).
As far as the speedboost being worth it, ask yourself how often you
will be transferring/streaming between systems - if not very often
then maybe just save your money as the throttle to the Internet will
be your Internet bandwidth.

I'd like to eliminate a bunch of wires!!
I want to change my network of three computers to wireless and am
wondering the least expensive, all things considered, way to do it.
Both desktops are eMachines and the Laptop is a Dell which already has
a wireless adapter (LinkSys).
I'm thinking LinkSys all the way, but someone told me that NetGear was
more universally compatible.
Buy.Com has the LinkSys routers for $39.99 and $59.99 after rebates.
Is the speedbooster worth $20.00 more?
They also have the Netgear router for $29.99.
Also, which way would you go on the adapters?
I need one router and two adapters.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Jim
