I got this one: http://www.netgear.com/products/details/WPN824.php for
$99.99 at CompUSA. I do a lot of streaming of video on my LAN though.
I would consider getting g rather than b at this point - a and b seem
to be on their way out. g has the range of a with the speed of b (or
is it the other way around? Either way, g is the best choice, cost
being equal)
My next step was to get a USB adapter if the router didn't fix my
problem - I've never used one but I can't imagine it would be a
problem, just match the brand and generation/speed to the router.

Since it is just a home network with very little business involved, I was
thinking the same thing.

There's a ton of ton of those! Which one did you get? How much was it
and are you happy with it?
Least expensive wireless router I've seen so far is $29.99 (after rebate/s)
and it's a NetGear. It's an 802.11b.

So my connection to the internet will probably be slower than the
router? That may be an understatement too, since I'm using DirecWay
and it's slow! Better than dial-up, though <smile>.
What about the USB Wireless adapters?
Thanks,
Jim
