I know it sound daft but we cannot have a 100MW transmitter in the lobby!
But I want to know how we are going to manage with 5 min boot times and
batteries that last about 2 hours max when we at the coal face for at least 5
hours. And some classroom do not have a handy power outlet near the desk for
the teacher.
We have a system (wireless) called BromCom (amalgamation of the name Bromley
(part of Kent/G London) and Communications) This is a small laptop looking
device that runs on 3 or 4 AA cells that last 3 months and we can email, call
class registers, and do all sorts of things - web site is I think
http:\\www.bromcom.com (or co.uk).
Why dump it? Well bormcom won't talk to the main school information package very
well (SIMS)
Ho Hmm ========= someone is making a packet out of it and it ain't me!

you thought I said but what you thought you heard wasn't
exactly what I said.
