That's your answer the HAL is likely different between this machine and the 
machine that the harddrive came from, try doing a fresh install.

Moving hard drives between different hardware is a bit more complicated than 
that when the hardware is not identical or fairly close to it.

And yes, Win2k will run on 64mb, never tried it on 48, although I vaguely 
remember seeing it on a 32mb machine, however I may be dreaming as it was a 
LONG time ago in this case.
