Minimum RAM requirement for Win2K is 32MB: http://snipurl.com/yptt
The Tecra 520 isn't on the Win2K HCL: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/search.mspx and Toshiba doesn't list drivers newer than Windows 98 and Windows NT. I wouldn't hold my breath but you do have enough RAM to attempt a clean install of Win2K. With the 3GB drive with Win98 installed, it boots up fine. With the 6GB drive with Win2k, windows starts and before it finishes it reboots. Is this a bad drive, bad OS install or something else. This is a Tecra 520cdt P166 with 48MB ram. The Win2K drive is in a Toshiba caddy but not from a Tecra520. Will Win2K fail if there is less than the official minimum of 64MB ram? -- ---------------------------------------- WIN-HOME Archives: http://PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM/archives/WIN-HOME.html Contact the List Owner about anything: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html
