Just a note about laptop batteries !  Here in the UK, Second user 
Laptops carry only a minimal guarantee on the battery often none but 
sometimes upto 90 days !   Replacement batteries can often cost as much 
or more than the price paid for the laptop in the first place !

This may or not be true in other parts of the world !  For instance in 
Bulgaria you can have your battery pack refurbished very cheaply !
