I'm trying to install some new terminal emulation software. It installed
nicely on the "real" Win98 partition. But when I try to install it in Win98
running under Win4Lin it terminats with the message "error opening instalation
log file". Being a Microsoft product, it didn't think to tell me just what
log file it was trying and failing to open.
I've confirmed that I have write access to everythingWin4Lin knows about and
don't know what to try next. I did try copying the programs from the
installed Widnows partition, but that didn't work. Which isn't that surprising
when you think about all of the undercover stuff Windows software installation
requires nowdays.
