Doesn't this mean that the problem isn't with the Win4lin kernel
then?  It sounds like you've got a problem with lilo or grub,
whichever one you're using.  It would seem that the thing to do is
back up and get a standard Linux fully functional again, solving the
boot problem.  Maybe in modifying your boot tool setup you injected a
typo or something.

Ah...yes, it's Ben that had the built kernels, not pclinuxonline.com.

Yeah...good luck.  BTW, are you using Mandrake 7.2 as it shakes out of
the box or with all the updates?
