Something that has been completely lacking from this conversation on mass transit is the observation of how incredibly inefficient the system is regarding pickup times.
In most places, it is about forty-five minutes between loops on the edges of the route. Near the centre of the routes, it is less but not that much to provide significant notation. Seriously that is not good when a healthy adult can walk to their destination faster than waiting for the next cycle. Perhaps that may have something to do with the limited adoption of local mass transit. (It is even worse when there is snow on the ground, and you can get from a to b faster than the bus service while on a bike using the worst possible route.)
