Kathy has an excellent point.
In fact, the only studies that indicate DARE works, that i am aware of, are those financed by the DARE organization itself.
At a time when school budgets are being slashed to appease the neo-conservative in St. Paul and Washington we should use the declining funds for things that are proven to work, e.g. smaller class sizes, expanded curriculum not feel-good programs that may actually do more harm than good, such as DARE
