We ran into something similar with Nintendo DS. On them, you must have
1 or 2 Mbps as basic rates (beacons and broadcasts) enabled on the
network, or they will simply not work. So you're stuck deciding
between supporting Nintendo or running a network with sane throughput.

No idea about the Wii though, but I'm curious. We do have a fair bit
of them around.
