Duplex full and speed 100 seem to do the trick. After looking at the pin out on the old standard and new, I wouldn't think that this would work.

The pre-standard power flipped the + and - wires. From the Cisco documents it should support Cisco pre-standard PoE automatically. Do you know if you are over your power budget for the switches power supply (blinking / alternating green and amber)? If it is blinking amber, have you tried a new cable (ie take the AP to the closet and plug it directly into the switch)? Have you tried to debug the PoE (http://cisco.biz/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2960/software/release/12.2_44_se/configuration/note/ol14988.pdf page 20)? When connecting our old 1200 series AP's to the switch via POE, the switch interface just keeps flashing. Is this because the old AP's use the old pre-standard POE? Our new 1142 series AP's connect just fine. Is there any way to have the older AP's use the newer POE through the switch port?
