Hi Todd. Are your APs inside or outside the shaft? -----Original Message----- From: The EDUCAUSE Wireless Issues Community Group Listserv <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Smith, Todd Sent: Tuesday, November 5, 2019 2:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [WIRELESS-LAN] [EXT] [WIRELESS-LAN] Wi-Fi in the Elevator Car
Our design here involved an AP every other floor at the elevator door and that has worked very well. Our design is a 3 AP coverage design at -63 dBm for first AP coverage and we have had pretty good luck with elevator coverage. Or if you can, will the cable take the constant bending and unbending... the Aruba airheads talked about 2 different options, an access point in the car, and one on the top of the elevator shaft with a directional antenna. https://nam01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.proofpoint.com%2Fv2%2Furl%3Fu%3Dhttps-3A__community.arubanetworks.com_t5_Wireless-2DAccess_Coverage-2Din-2Delevator-2Dshaft_td-2Dp_196269%26d%3DDwIFAg%26c%3D2GaipCMI-4CXTl0y2l8grQS3faC7QKiDQZYpyUtD00M%26r%3DuvxIRDMxwssmr2VjVNRe6I_MeNT0SmtowN9dpqcMAFc%26m%3DRkmKM6Ub3GbVISRZOetz5TUOkshSn-C_nuJBe-AGRwU%26s%3DcpVqCqaSVPziQOnu1QpGnkUKoFuK0dpo6UdtKY9_mz4%26e&data=02%7C01%7Ccae104%40PSU.EDU%7C6031ce3511b745641e6d08d7622353f6%7C7cf48d453ddb4389a9c1c115526eb52e%7C0%7C0%7C637085776197166232&sdata=h%2FmqTM1mWgeiSCfDluN4wWcKeYpgPQb9WYPmoPhsyTY%3D&reserved=0= -----Original Message----- From: The EDUCAUSE Wireless Issues Community Group Listserv <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Curtis K.
