Historical artifact?  The Aironet bridge and access point products in a
given family were usually the same hardware running the same firmware but
with a different magic cookie in flash, yet the bridges always cost more.
Cisco kept the price model, but I don't know if the current generation of
hardware is the same between bridge and access point.
