Like most taxes, it's voluntary if you're willing to side-step a few of
the traditions. Cisco stuff is worth considerable less than the going
price. IMHO, best bet is using Linux and the HostAP driver, along with the
Senao cards (though the new 200mw SMC cards may give them a run for the
money, time will tell).
