Technically, you almost certainly are owed both. I'd suggest you talk with them (or their insurance adjuster) about this. Shouldn't be too hard to get reimbursed for the radio, but you may have to 'eat' the rest of the contract. (Or, at least, it'd likely be more trouble than it's worth, unless it's a BIG contract.)
