Now we're getting warmer ;) Whether it's asyncronous or syncronous, CIR or MIR, what is it that defines it as dedicated? Is it that they can get their CIR at any given time? Or is it that they use (transfer) Xbps over a given amount of time? I know for my upstream, we have 40Mbps and I expect it 24x7. I really havent had many requests for dedicated, therefore have not given it much thought until this recent request. I know this customer will be taxing his connection therefore I'm trying to explain to him (and in my own mind) what parameters define his connection as dedicated versus non-dedicated. I'm curious as to how others handle this.
