Subject: Linksys WAP

I have just purchased a linksys WAP54G WAP and 2 WPC54G PCMCIA cards
for the 2 laptops in our household. Setup was a breeze, with every
thing working perfectly. Within an hour I had one of the laptops
browsing the web through our broadband conection, WEP enabled etc.
Shortly afterwards the other was up and running. I can even play
music way down the yard from files on the desktop in the study. The
laptops run ME on one and XP pro on the other.

I then downloaded the latest firmware (v 2.06) for the WAP and again
no problems.

Now to my question.

When I display the status screen it shows 'Wireless security' as
being disabled, dispite wireless security enabled benig selected and
saved on the setup screen.

On the laptops I have turned of WEP and tried to conect, with no
sucess. Turnit on again and I connect, so I presume that WEP is
infact working.

Has anyone else noticed this 'bug', or am I doing something wrong?

Bruce
