A more direct answer to Stephen's specific concerns about load and such ...
Stephen .. if you are currently architected using Witango Version 4 or Tango
2000 SP1 on the server, there is no doubt that Witango Version 5, with it's
re-written threading model, will be a huge improvement for your Christmas
rush on all the sites which you run.
I know also that the private beta has gone very well. The very neat thing
about this beta test is the extent to which it has been tested, by a large
and diverse group.
The yin and yang of this is that it has caused some angst as we all wait,
but you are now about to reap the benefit of a hugely improved, very stable
environment to develop and deploy.
I stake my reputation on it.
Next week, you'll be able to determine your budgetary requirements and move
forward.
Sincerely,
Ian

<sarcasm> Gee, thanks Ben. Such a tease!</sarcasm>
I would think after the barrage of sentiment that MOST of us are anxious
to know when and how much, a few of you insiders wouldn't brag so much.
Really, some of us are reaching critical mass on making important
decisions on software and hardware. Christmas is coming and we know with
this year's anticipated volume and loads we can't sustain the status quo
again this year. We, like some others, will be forced to seek other
solutions, despite our affinity for the product and what it may or may
not offer during its next "life".
Stephen
