Hi Bill,

We know that some rigs won't accept commands to change frequency while 
transmitting.  What we were calling "the FT-817 problem" is only a 
programming issue in the way I implemented Doppler control in WSJT-X. 
For rigs like the FT-817, even though they can't do full Doppler control 
we'd like to have the program able to set dial frequency just before a 
transmission starts, and possibly reset it to another frequency when 
receiving.  The present timing does not allow this.
