Hi Mike,

that's not likely to be required, at least not until the JTAlert EME 
hunters edition comes out ;)

The issue was not about putting in '@' characters, it was about trying 
to explain an issue report of constant tone transmit when a message 
should have been transmitted. The background being that HF operators are 
probably oblivious of the feature to send single tones and related short 
codes.
