Apologies if this is not the correct place to ask...

I've searched Google but can't find a solution.

Using WSJT-X v1.8.0 r8193 and an AOR AR3030 receiver.

In File/Settings/Radio I select AOR AR3030, Baude rate 4800, 8 data
bits, 2 stop bits, no handshake.

I press "4800 ENT" on the receiver and it enters "REMOTE" mode.

I click on Test CAT and the "REMOTE" on the receiver LCD goes out and
I get the error "Rig Failure Hamlib error:Protocol error while getting
current VFO frequency"

The receiver works with Hyperterm. I can change modes, download
settings like filter, AGC, frequency, mode etc.

If, back in WSJT-X I select other AOR receivers...

With the receiver tuned to 7.076 MHz

I didn't expect the following to work, but tried them anyway.

AOR AR7030 "Test CAT" works (it doesn't give the Hamlib error) but
shows the wrong frequency (11,402.646 569) in WSJT-X, and WSJT-X
doesn't control the receiver.

AOR AR7030 Plus "Test CAT" also works (it doesn't give the Hamlib
error) but shows the frequency as 0.000 000 and again WSJT-X doesn't
control the receiver.

Hopefully somebody has a suggestion of how to proceed. Is it something
I'm doing wrong or a bug in the software?
