Does rigctl go through a "translation process" to issue commands?
E.g. for the AR3030, F 707401 would get translated to 7.07401[CR} ?

Hi Barry,

you can see the underlying interaction with the rig by adding some -v options to the rigctl (rigctl-wsjtx is basically the same) like:

rigctl-wsjtx -vvvvv -m 505 -r com3 -s 4800

with five v's you will  get the most detail. You will see the rigctl user commands are converted to the necessary CAT commands for that rig model. If you tell us what is not conforming or not working a patch for the Hamlib developers can be made, or you can do that yourself if you have the relevant C programming skills.
