I had a direct email from Mike W9MDB and I sent him the output of the 
-vvvvv test.

He suggested that this list is not the right place to continue this 
thread.

My C programming skills = none :-)

Summary -
Hyperterm works with the AR3030 (control details in its user guide)
rigctl doesn't work at all.

It's an old (but good) receiver and maybe not worth spending time on 
if I'm the only one trying to use it with WSJTX.
