Hmmm...wonder if you have other noise going on...if you unplug your antenna
from your rig you should see 0dB on WSJT-X.

Well after trying for some hard to get calls on 160m, seeing others working the
stations, they appeared, and were decoded after that technique was used. I am
always open to what works best.

I sincerely doubt the "beneficial" -- without testing it doesn't make sense.
The 30dB level is as recommended in the Help and is the level needed to
overcome quantization errors.  30dB leaves some 60dB of head room for strong
signals (so AGC isn't needed which can squash weak signals).
Anything above 30dB is a waste based on all prior testing done by the WSJT-X
team.

It is still in the green zone and AGC is off. I find it beneficial on very weak
signals,

but I may play with lower levels.

Your bandwidth looks great... From the quick glance I could get of the
WSJT-X signal level it appears your RF gain is too high...you should set so you
see 30dB on the WSJT-X meter on a quiet spot (like 5KHz below)

 Hi Adrian,

It would be interesting to see your waterfall on a busy band like 20m. Also
all other bandwidth and carrier settings may be needed to make a fare
comparison and resolution what is "correct" for, say , widest reception
bandwidth and highest number of decoded.
