Hi Michael, I found the issue. When I use Win4Icom, I normally run com0com to create virtual serial port pairs. These pairs are used in Win4Icom as virtual CAT ports and WSJT-X uses one of these ports. I recently decided to switch to VSPE for the port emulation. It appears that VSPE creates their virtual serial port pairs using a different method. Possibly there is a virtual line within the RS232 emulation that is different from com0com.
When using com0com, WSJT-X has no issues with audio. VSPE seems to cause the problem to appear. I have switched back to com0com and all is working fine now. Thank you for nudging me in the right testing direction. 73 de Craig ARS: N8PWM (EN82fn) QRZ Homepage <https://www.qrz.com/db/N8PWM> On Thu, Mar 18, 2021 at 5:31 PM Black Michael via wsjt-devel < [email protected]> wrote: > Could you please try this version of WSJT-X and see if it behaves? > > https://www.dropbox.com/s/xhaaaikqsfulykn/wsjtx-2.4.0-rc3-win64.exe?dl=0 > > Mike W9MDB > > > On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, 06:40:49 AM CDT, Craig <[email protected]> > wrote: > > > Hi all, > > I am running WSJT-X 2.4.0-rc3 on an HP 8200 Elite with 8G ram. > > This is connected to an IC-7300 via Win4Icom. > > Normally I run V2.2 of WSJT-X.
