That's a good idea...I'll do that as soon as I'm finished editing this
message and paste it into Mac Mail to send (I hate that kind of "editor"
and am constantly hitting ESC....).  I've been using vi (now vim/gvim),
however, since...ummm...1981 or 1982.  You might say my hands are
used to it to extremes, and simply don't know what to do in other
editors).  :-)

Hopefully uninstalling//reinstalling XQuartz will fix both issues, or at
least, the DISPLAY and "can't open display" issue...that's the biggest
PITA right now, as it's directly interfering with my usage of some X11
apps that I use daily, both for fun and for my online//offline home
business (making and selling handmade jewelry, just FWIW) that keeps my
budget from drowning in the never-ending post-cancer medical bills and
expensive prescriptions I have to be on for the rest of my life, and
hopefully will one day get me off of disability by no longer needing it.
