I assume you have run makedns and service named restart.
Please make sure tftpd is running on the mn. 
Are there service node involved?

And what are the values for noderes.installnic and noderes.primarynic? You 
can change them to "mac" or leave them blank. Then run nodeset and deploy 
the nodes.

Can you show me a node definition?

hi,guys:
    today I use xcat to find MAC and get BMC ,but when the system power on 
. Until run to DHCP found 
but it appear like this : 
DHCP.........................................connect time out 
 
then I do something like this:
                        makedhcp -n    and  service dhcpd restart
                 alse  do it like this:
                         cd /var/lib/dhcpd/     and   rm -rf *      then   
service dhcpd restart
but the issue still happen, sometime it alse can find mac and bmc ip 
 
so if you have time ,please help me see what happen of my server  ,

tip:   My operating system is :red hat 6.2
         xcat firmware:2.7
