That's my impression, too, which emphasizes how much we've come to rely on a
handful of people (like Andy Heninger, Dean Roddey, Tinny Ng, Joseph
Kesselman, and David Bertoni, just to name the ones who first come to my
mind) to help us out. Fatigue and other commitments have taken their toll on
this core group. I'd like to express my thanks to them and to the other
regulars.

With credit to Kurt Vonnegut, here's a bouquet of parentheses for them to
enjoy:
        ()()()()()()(00)()()()()()

Maybe the quieter among us who've been on the list a while could speak up
more and take some of the load off. It can be intimidating to answer a
question, but taking a little time to research an answer benefits everyone.

And first-time posters should do their part to prepare their questions: just
to repeat what's often said, anyone who is tempted to post a question should
first check:

1) the FAQ: http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/faqs.html
2) the xerces web site: http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/
3) the samples: http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/samples.html
4) the standard: http://www.w3.org/XML/
