that could at least explain why it was working on relatively old knoppix and other old instalation on another A31. I was using 4.2.1 debian/unstable before, and AFAIK they are recompiling everything to 3.2 now...Why wasnt my OpenGL working with my debian with 4.2.1, while it was working on the same machine with knoppixCD 4.2.1. If I know what the problem was I want to go back to 4.2.1 and have APM working.See the bugs filed about this against xlibmesa3-gl. Compiling 4.2.1 with gcc 3.2 doesn't work well.
