How and where do I define AltGr to be a dead key? I have read the man
page for xmodmap and read about xkb on the web but I could not figure
out how to fix this bug.
I don't know. I have used to have it defined as
keycode 0x71 = Mode_switch add Mod3 = Mode_switch
(which was the old default) but after deactivating my xmodmap file, the default is now:
keycode 0x71 = ISO_Level3_Shift Multi_key add Mod5 = ISO_Level3_Shift
I'm gussing there's an xmodmap file _somewhere_ on your system that's still being run. I've attached an xmodmap file generated from the
default settings on my machine.
I talked to a few other people who had just upgraded to 4.3.0. They have the same problem as I have. I attached my .xmodmap extracted by xkeycaps.
I can't find out how to configure ISO_Level3_Shift to be a dead key. It does not seem to be within the scope of what xmodmap can do.
