I too agree that a release of 1.1 is long overdue. I think it's a bit like getting married or having children -- if you wait for everything to be perfect, you'll be single and/or childless your whole life. Take the plunge. So far only Kimbro has access to the needed resources, and it should be noted that he is the current RM, so we should (formally) wait for him to show up at a very least.
