    I am afraid that XEDI Translator is just a translator that converts an EDI File to 
XML File and vice versa. but there is no EDI validation done by this translator other 
than the codelist validation.

   But I see that Netfish has implemented EDI for there XDI server (XML Based) and 
which supports multiple standards of EDI and also generates Functional 
Acknowledgement. So I don't see XEDI is required with Netfish, rather Netfish product 
supports EDI by itself which does all the validations.
