We are currently integrating COMBS (old Phillips
EDIFACT equivalent messgages framework) to an XML based
manufacturing planning and channel management system.
The savings for Indian factories that have JD Edwards
as their ERP is significant, while their clients and
marketing & sales teams can still work with their
old systems that generate EDI/COMBS messages. While
we are using Rosettanet standards a lot of information/
documents that are exchanged are still proprietary to
the ecosystem of the client. If people, are interested
drop me an email and I can provide more details off-line.
