Yes, but not with a Java 1.4.1 as ancient as yours. If I start a second
XXE with command-line arguments, first instance is used to open the
documents and this, even with Java 1.4.1 (1.4.1_07 though).

Good news for us. Using Java 1.5 is recommended on all platforms, except
on the Mac, where Java 1.5 does not seem ready for primetime.
