Exciting. I deinstalled Java 1.4.1_03, installed 1.4.2_08 and I observed 
the same behavior.
We tried both versions on another machine and got the problem too.

As I mentioned before I had no problems with the previous version XXE 3.0 
and 3.0p1.

I personally have no problem to switch to Java 1.5. The problem is that 
most of the machines in our company have Java 1.4.1_x or 1.4.2_x 
installed.
