Thanks; I'll check the add-ons.

Worth mentioning, however, that I cannot use Install > Add-ons, because
I'm behind a fire-wall and XXE doesn't prompt me for my password when it
tries to go to the 'Net.

Subject: Re: [XXE] conversion fails - networked environment problem?

I get exactly the same error and the same kind of log when the FOP
add-on has *not* been installed along the DITA add-on.

This kind of problem occurs when add-ons have been installed manually,
that is, have not been installed using menu item "Install|Add-ons".
XXE's integrated add-on manager ``knows'' that DITA requires FOP and
that FOP requires Batik and Jimi.

Please make sure that all the following add-ons are installed on your
system:

* DITA configuration based on the OASIS DTD

* Apache FOP XSL-FO processor plug-in
(Apache FOP 1.x XSL-FO processor plug-in works too but you cannot
install both)

* Apache Batik image toolkit plug-in

* Jimi image toolkit plug-in
