Cathy,
I've been watching for your happy dance! Congrats!!! I know how you feel
about finishing this one. I just learned hardanger last year also and
everyone kept telling not to jump in to such a large piece, do something easy.
But like I tell everyone I teach to stitch, they're not harder, just larger.
I'm still waiting for mine to be framed. I'll be stopping by there tomorrow -
keep your fingers crossed for me. Let me know how you decide to frame it. I
was looking forward to picking out a gold frame this time, but since I used
the darker fabric, the gold just didn't look right. I went with a cherry
frame, no mat, and medium pink mat to go under the stitching. It's so hard
for me to tell what it's going to look like when it's all put together, so I
let me stitching friends give their opinions and that is what the four of us
came up with. It was a lot of fun having them help.
Anyway, I have plenty of EB's charts in my stash. I'm looking forward to
starting another one of her designs. I think next, I'll have to go with one
of the Christmas banners. I really enjoyed stitching this together. Hope we
get the opportunity to do this again.
